My dear little son! You are changing so much. Daily. I love your little whimsical expressions. Short frustration outburst and "whois in control" games. Who would have thought that such melancholiac mother can have such a positive, smiling, ever laughing Baby Boy! Mommy just wants to remember every second of your life, every new thing that comes through. I am afraid I can't. I am afraid by the time you are 16 I will have no free memory slots.

7 weeks and 1 day is what the Pregnancy Calculator says with a due date of 28, 29 or 30 September!? Ok so once we arrive in Canada, we will let ‘n Dr confirm the due date and actual age of the little one who has definitely made it’s presence clear with a ‘bout’ of good old Morning, Mid-day and Evening Sickness. (So the synonyms for the word ‘bout’ can include “short period”, “attack”, “session” or “stretch”. The latter applying to many mommies-to-be.)

Valeriya is part of the high school trio that shaped me quite a bit as an adolescent. We have been friends since high school and, although, we are quite different, we still remain good friends, even over a distance of a few continents. She is amazing all around, inspiring, beautiful and a creative individual.

7 February 2010
- Wake up at 6:30am. Talking. No hope of sleep further
- Long morning nap between 9:30 and 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00
- Playing with amber beads - enjoying the different sizes of the stones
- Unpacking the drawer with my bracelets and necklaces, trying bracelets on. Learning to put down softly
- Walking around with Nommy on the head - blindfolded. For 5 minutes. Walked into the wall. Thought its great fun
- Begging to go out onto the wet balcony
- Holding tight to the balcony railing, when Daddy opened up the sliding door - just in case we wanted you to get back in

Well, I just missed a week out of Baby Boy’s life. It feels like a part of me died and I am still struggling to find my feet. Right now I am just drinking every second, every moment of his day. The days are so full of exploration and development, that I am afraid my memory is going into overload. To try and capture wonders of these days, I am going to write a few “action lists”, which I hope all the aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will find just as amusing.
