Merry Christmas & Happy New Year PDF Print E-mail

Few years back we started a family tradition of Mama designed holiday cards. This year it really felt impossible, with all the work and packing to squeeze even a second to make one. I was giving up a lot of personal time with the family at that stage and somehow giving up on a Christmas card tradition just made it all feel worse.

I am a beauty retoucher, I should know better. The “all porcelain” skin on a 50 year old advertising an ageing product… Some of us are blessed with good genes, but most of us don’t loose laugh lines to a night cream.

The ideal looking playground with those yellowing autumn trees framing the view and sunlit swings: if I actually walk to the place, it has a building materials dumped right at the entrance.

The “all-inclusive” tourist paradise: not so heaven like to clear up sand from the cigarette first so that the baby can play in the clean sand.

Looking down at your perfect rounded face and little fingers tapping against "Africa" sheet. You are trying to settle down for night sleep, not sure if Nommy must cover your face, get tucked under your arm or be safely deposited behind your back.  Tomorrow is your Monthday. First one far away from your home birth, my little blond-blue-eyed boy from Africa. We will celebrate it in full forth by hunting down a mattress for your bed. May it be a successful hunt!

Sean-D and the ModelWe are back from the short Christmas hiatus, and ready to run in the new year! For the most part we had cracking christmas and new year. Baby got some gifts, and seemed happy... It took bubbles on the stomach and swing swing and funny voices, but the pic got made and we have a little model in the making! Which is good because although the fuel price went down, the price of diapers went up?!

Anyway... it's been a while, so there is a lot of catching up to do... Baby is now 5.7kg and growing. The bath I bought initially doesn't fit him anymore (when I got it I thought we seriously bought too big a bath! ) and most of his clothes are now packed away...

Baby & Infant Eye Care PDF Print E-mail

Sean-Duncan with his shadesI am often amazed how ignorant I am...

Luckily, my absolute fear of damaging my baby (maybe some paranoia) has opened up my eyes to various threats and dangers that I now suffer from, but never really realized where they came from or what caused it. It's all obvious now, but earlier... sheesh... everything happens to other people, not us!

So Living in this eco-friendly world, where everything is supposedly natural and "Green" and we take super care of what we eat and drink, and even drink out of, I always went on the assumption that the eyes you have is genetic... really... what you see is what you get, true WYSIWYG... but that ain't so... I started digging around about baby eye care and remembered about viewing a podcast about it some time ago.
